Fitness is not a 6 week challenge. It’s not about getting ready for your best friend’s wedding. It’s about developing and nurturing life long habits that will permit you to get the most out of your life.
Here at Treehouse, we do offer 6 week challenges. But they are not meant to be leading into an endpoint. Instead, they are meant to kickstart a lifelong pursuit of improvement. Of a study to learn what you can become.
And while getting ready for a wedding or “beach season” is a great motivator, it can lead to much frustration if the new healthy habits are quickly left behind once the time has passed and you return to the old normal.
At Treehouse, we work with our clients to understand what they are already doing right, then we devise a plan on how to improve upon that to help them reach their individual goals.
That plan may start with simply walking 3x/week and lifting some weights for 30 minutes 2-3x/week. It may involve much more than that. Point is, it really depends on the individual and it will change over time as growth occurs.
The key word is “time”. That beautiful tree in the picture didn’t begin like that. It took time and care. There is a Chinese Proverb that says: “The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.”
